Colson Kelly or Machine Gun Kelly is best known for the unique way he raps. Baker was born to his English Scottish German family in Houston, Texas U.S.A. On April 22nd the 22nd of April, 1991. As a child Baker spent a large amount of time travelling with his parents who were missionaries. James Colson Baker was depressed and was unemployed when Sonia Alane, his mother, left the family when Baker was only Nine years old. Baker's dad moved along with Baker to Denver and lived with the home of his aunt. Baker was subject to bullying since he lived in poverty among the kids. He began listening to rap as a the sixth grade. Baker has released four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010 before signing with Bad Boy Records. In the wake of delivering his lyrics quicker than a bullet train the Cleveland artist saw an explosive increase in fame and recognition in the year 2011. He went from releasing self-released cassettes, to being signed to labels. His career took off and each album charting within the top 10.
