Anne W. Burrell has worked as a chef, TV presenter in the US and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. Anne Burrell. Burrell is the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for Food Network. Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and her edgy personality on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, provides simple and easy to master cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. Chef Burrell has worked in some of the top eateries within New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy and competed in Food Network's Iron Chef America. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in restaurant management after she earned an English/Communications degree at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had my most memorable time in my life. I couldn't learn enough couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Burrell gained a greater appreciation of Italian culinary and cultural traditions throughout her time in Italy that has informed her cooking style. Burrell has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens the lives of children facing challenges. She is also a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador, where she promotes juvenile diabetes awareness. Burrell is often a guest speaker at conferences and travels the country to mentor others in her role. Anne declared that she felt fortunate to be able to communicate her love of cooking to the people around her.
