Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn is an American film television and theatre actress. She's been an professional actor for 27 years. She made her acting debut on stage during an off-Broadway production of The Big Funk by John Patrick Shanley in the year 1990. In The Perfect Tribute, she made her TV debut the following year. The year was 1992 and she was cast as a character supporting in the movie Basic Instinct. This marked the beginning of her successful profession. The Firm marked her first part as a female lead actress, opposite Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. In the 90s, she worked with many top actors in Hollywood, including Gwyneth Paltrow as well as Hugh Grant. Recently she played Dr Alex Blake in the internationally well-known crime procedural Criminal Minds.
