Lars was a soldier after his school years. He served nine months of basic military duty in the Kongelige Livgarde, an infantry regiment of the Danish army. He didn't feel the military work was suitable for him, and so he started to look for something else and eventually decided to go into biology. When he was busy with this half-year course, Anette came home from a juggler class and showed him how skilled she was at play juggling in just three days. Lars was pleased about it and was determined to try it as well. He decided to drop out of school and joined the juggler's school. He was taught fire breathing and the art of juggling in this school. Afterwards he toured with two fellow artists throughout Europe performing on the streets of cities like Paris, Munich, Moscow and Warsaw. He was introduced to the children's circus two years after. There he also learned street and children's theater pantomime.
